About Steve

My name is Steve Fox (obviously), and I live on the Sunshine Coast in British Columbia, Canada. I have over 25 years of experience in the graphic arts field, but I do not consider myself to be a Graphic Designer.

"Why not?" you may ask.

Throughout my Design career, I have been employed as a Layout Artist, a Production Artist, a Project Manager and many other things that revolve around the Graphic Design industry. However, by definition a Graphic Designer has graduated from Art School and has a bunch of fancy letters after their name and that does not apply to me. For the past 25 years or so I have been a Production and Page Layout Artist for a full service educational textbook (K-12) and eMedia composition studio, so I tend to call myself a "Page Layout Artist" or an "Intermediate Designer."

I also completed a Web Design, Development and Maintenance Certificate at Humber College, so I could add "Web Design" to my constantly growing list of skills.

I am also an amateur photographer, a bibliophile, an Internet junkie, a closet International traveller, and a dreamer.

The Present

I am currently seeking remote opportunities in the Educational or eLearning Publishing field.
